I'm Already Taken - Reprise

Here’s a poem about commitment. I wonder how many other things it is about.

I'm Already Taken

The wind and earth fought
over me but I belong
to the pale moonlight,
to starry rivers,
to the morning shine of sun,
to your warm rose heart.

  1. There is a certain shivery-ness about this poem and the picture, that reminds me of a now distant pathworking I once did. Too long to narrate here, and in any case the meaning wasn't clear. That experience filled me with a sense of wonder and hope, and there are echoes of that experience here. My thanks.

  2. Am I?
    taken that is...
    who knows
    they don't, that's for sure
    they are sure that the
    answer sits far from me
    much like that little thing,
that is they are sure, of course,
    my sanity
    Am I taken
    have I been took
    the only way
    you say
    is for me to look
    from on my knees

    1. Not the only way. This is an also look from here as much and then again and again and again. My last real effort was longer than a year.

The chicken crossed the road. That's poultry in motion.
